Wyatt

So we found out yesterday that Wyatt is going to need surgery on both his eyes. They are going to stretch 2 muscles in each eye. He looks so adorable in his glasses, but it will be nice for him not to have to wear them for the rest of his life. Especially since his eyesight is really good. I am really proud of how responsible he has been with them. Every once in a while he will take them off hand them to me and say "im taking them off so my can fight". I could do without the wrestling around, but i am amazed at how well he takes care of them. Anyways, his surgery will be on the 23rd of January. I am grateful they are waiting until the first of the year so we can get the excitement of christmas over. By the way, this is a picture of wyatt and his "girlfriend and best friend" Aidan. She is adorable!

Christmas Trees

Here are some pics from the crafts we did last night. thanks to my mom! She is very brave to have all the kids playing with frosting and candy.

Thanksgiving

We spent a wonderful day in Downey with the Davis's. Every year my aunt and uncle host a turkey shot. The boys, as in our husbands, had a blast clay pigieon shooting and even us girls took a turn. We have yet to win, so i decided we better start practicing for next year.
The kids loved picking up the empty shells and playing tag on the haystacks. Even my mom and aunts got up there and ran around. It was hilarious watching them try to even get up on the hay bails. i thought i was going to die laughing. i was spared making a fool out of my self since i am allergic to hay. (so i took the pictures) I am so glad my kids get to experience "country life".

Love at first sight

So i thought i would go back in time a little and write about the day Brooklyn came into our lives. After serveral doctor appointments and the depressing news that my body was not getting any closer to having my baby, i decided i might as well go to mutual that week. We were heading up to scout mountain for a dinner and some games. I think i had all the leaders freaked out that i would go into labor on the mountain because i had people giving me their chairs, their jackets and getting me my food and whatever else they thought i might need. After only an hour or so i started not to feel very well and was anxious to get home. So my mom, who is also the YW President, took me and a couple of the girls home. The ride was extremely bumpy. My mom must have been more worried about getting me home than Going Slow! (Sorry mom) But she did something right because within an hour my water broke. We decided to go up to the hospital about midnight. which was the beginning of a very long night and day of no progression. You would figure since it was my 4th that things would happen a little quicker. BUT THEY DIDN"T. Finally at 5 o'clock we came to the conclusion that a c-section was probably going to be the best option. My mom said she got quite a kick out of watching Ryan's eyes pop out of his head while he was getting ready. I think he was pretty nervous. :) Within in about 15 minutes the baby was born. And within another 2 minutes she had stopped breathing. It was pretty chaotic for a while. No one could figure out why she would suddenly stop breathing when her stats had been really good throughout the whole day.
It was the scariest 1/2 hour of my life. All i could see was that she wasn't moving or crying anymore and the nurses were all rushing around in a "calm panick". they rushed her to PICU and i didn't know anything until 1/2 hour later when i was in the recovery room. During that 1/2 hour i did alot of pleading with my Heavenly Father to not take her away from me. Lets just say i was having a hard time keeping my composure when i finally got to hold her in my arms an hour later. There aren't words to describe how thankful i was. Now she is 3 months old and as perfect as can be. :)

December 11th 2008

This is my first entry as an official blogger! I hope i can keep up on it so everyone can see how our beautiful little (or not so little) family is growing. We are completely in love with our new little girl, Brooklyn Rian. She is starting to smile and giggle. She lights up all of our lives. She is only in the 25% for her weight and height. But i love that she is staying small.
Bailey is in 2nd grade and loves her teacher Mrs. Meline. They have the same type of personality so they get along great! She is soooo smart. She almost always gets 100% in everything she does. We are soooo proud of her.
Kaden is doing well in Kindergarten. He is really excited to start reading like bailey! Baseball will be starting back up in a few months. I can't wait to see how much he has improved. He has grown up so much in last few years. I am excited to see what the future brings. His teacher says he has a little bit of a hard time focusing, but i am not suprised. He is his fathers son! :)
Wyatt is my little buddy. He helps me do all the shopping while the other kids are in school. And i love spending time with him. He cracks me up! We recently took him to the eye doctor because his left eye turns in. They gave him some glasses to wear for about a month, but if they don't help he will probably have surgery. This will be his 4th surgery in his short 4 years. 3 of them were for the tubes in his ears. i hate to see him have surgery again, but it would be better than him having him wear glasses for the rest of his life. Especially since he has great eyesight. He goes back to the doctor next week and we will know more then.
Brooky is almost 3 months old. Everyone loves her to pieces. The kids are constantly fighting over her will hold her. She sleeps really well, only getting up once in the middle of the night. Which makes me extremely happy.
Ryan always keeps busy. They are remodeling 8 bathrooms at Farmers Insurance and they are also doing a remodel for a hair salon. The safe company gets busier and busier. And it looks like they will be building a twin home in their subdivision that they have finally finished and ready to sell all the lots. Somehow in the midst of all this he manages to still make time for me and the kids. I love when he comes home and immediately grabs the baby to cuddle with her. Then he wrestles around with the kids until he is completely wore out. He is such a great dad. I admire his ability to juggle everything in his life, even though he probably feels like he doesn't do that great of job. I think he is amazing! I wish i had his energy :)
I am busy busy with my 4 kids. They are all balls of energy and i sometimes struggle to keep up. but i wouldn't change it for the world. I am going on my 6th year of being in Young Womens and i love every minute of it. I've loved watching these girls grow and experience life. I hope i stay in for a long time. Its nice to have a break every tuesday for a couple of hours and do something fun with people who are over 4 foot. :)
Well this is an update on us. Hopefully i can keep this updated
