Kash Brixon Eborn

I started having contractions at 2:30 on Valentines Day. At about 5 I decided maybe it was time to call up to Labor and Delivery and see wether they thought I should come up or not. They wanted to evaluated me so as soon as ryan got home from work we headed up. I didn't really think I would end up having the baby. I thought they would just send me home and tell me it wasn't time yet. My actual due date wasn't until March 2nd and I had had labor pains before that lasted several hours. They checked me and i was only dialated to a 1. At 6 o'clock they gave me a medication to stop my contractions. It worked for about 20 min. :) Dr. Dyer told the nurse that i wasn't really in labor and to just send me home to rest. Luckily, I had a very intune nurse that thought that it was probably a bad idea and she decided to check me one more time before I left. I had jumped from a 1 to a 5 in about an hour. Thank goodness I didn't go home!

They went right to work and started prepping me for my C-Section. I was super nervous for the spinal block, but i had an amazing anestheologist. It was so much better than having an epidural. We thought things would go pretty smooth after that, but we were wrong. The baby was breach and completely stuck. They had to cut both horizontally and vertically to try and get him out. I remember the doctors teasing that he had a firm grip on my ribs and wasn't going to budge. It seemed to take a lifetime before he was actually out. I definetly had a sigh of relief. But i sighed a little to soon. Baby thought he would give us a scare and stop breathing. They rushed him to the ICU and for 21 minutes they had to help him breathe and give him oxygen. I hated not hearing him cry before they took him. I was worried sick and just wanted to hold him. It took the doctors a long time to sew me up. While i was in there the ICU called in with the weight of the baby. They told us in grams so everyone was trying to figure out what it was in pounds. I was shocked when they told me he was 4 pounds 12 ounces! We weren't quite sure why he was sooo little, but he has proven to be as healthy as a horse once they got his breathing under control. They wheeled me into the ICU after I spent my time in recovery, and i finally got to see my sweet boy.

He spent 2 days in the ICU. They finally kicked him out after the 2nd time he pulled out his IV. They said he was like Houdini alway getting out of his blanket and causing problems. I was really excited to finally have him in the room with me and be able to show him off to family and friends. We love him so much and are blessed to have him apart of our family.

baby with the family

Everyone was so excited to see the baby! The kids had to wait until he was out of the ICU until they could see him. It took a couple of days, but he finally got to move in with me. :)

# 5

This is last picture of me before I had baby #5. I felt so big and miserable, but at the same time I was trying to enjoy the last time I would be pregnant.

WYATT!!!! What are you doing!

This a prime example of what my Wyatt comes up with doing during the day! He is completly crazy! I even gave him a quarter to walk over to the neighbors house and say HI. He totally did it. He loves to be silly and it definetly makes my life interesting! :)

Kaden's very 1st Basketball game!

There aren't many things funnier than watching 7 year olds try to play basketball. This was Kaden's 1st year playing and he really didn't have a clue what to do. (Other than to make a basket, which he is pretty good at.) At one point in the game he was bringing the ball down the court and was afraid someone would try and steel it so he decided it would be best to dribble backwards all the way down! I couldn't stop laughing! There he was.....all by himself.....dribbling backwards down the court. How cute is that! We love you Kaden!

Kaden's 1st grade Program

It was amazing to watch Kaden during his program. He was soooo enthusiastic!! And to think, a couple years ago he would even stand up in front of a crowd! We are very proud of him and how much he has grown.
The 1st picture is of his best friend and neighbor, Landon.
